To ensure that all Enviromon customers can operate their Base Units and Smart Sensors effectively, we provide a selection of frequently asked questions often addressed by our technical support staff. Questions Regarding IP Configuration:

Why am I unable to set the IP to the device using IPSet utility provided in the help CD?
  • Check if the red LED on the Base Unit is steadily lit (stable power supply).
  • Verify the LAN/network/patch cable: the green LED should be steadily lit.
  • IPSet.exe won’t function across routers but will work across switches and hubs.
  • For best results, connect directly to the Base Unit using a crossover cable.
What is the default IP of the device?
The default factory-assigned IP is 192.168.0.100.
If the IPSet fails, is there any other method of assigning the IP Address?
Yes—try the following steps:
  • Find the IP address of your network adapter using the ipconfig command.
  • Add the sensorProbe’s IP to your routing table and ARP table.
  • Ping the sensorProbe’s IP to confirm connectivity.
Can I use the default IP of the device to access the web interface and later assign the desired IP?
Yes. Access the web interface by entering 192.168.0.100 in your browser, then assign your preferred IP.
I am able to ping the device IP, but I am not getting the web interface when I enter the IP in the browser?
  • Disable any proxy settings in your browser that may block access.
  • After a firmware update, make sure both micro code and HTML code updates are applied.
Where can I find the MAC address of the device?
The MAC address is on the bottom cover, on the Network page of the web interface, or in IPSet (Automatically Get MAC mode).

Where can I find the MIB file for the device?
The MIB file is available on our Firmware & Downloads page.

Having trouble with email or login? Check SMTP server and mail settings (timeout, gateway IP, “from” address), confirm the mail server is responsive and allowed through firewalls, and make sure you’re using the correct password. To change device settings, log in as an administrator.
How can I recover a lost password?
Contact Enviromon Customer Support and provide the MAC address of your device.
I have assigned the gateway IP, and when I click Save it reverts back to the default IP. Why?
This occurs when the device cannot reach the entered gateway IP. If it isn’t found, the unit reverts to the default.
Do AKCP products have a warranty?
Yes. A one-year global limited warranty is provided on all AKCP products. An additional one-year warranty is available for an extra 20% of the list price.
